Thailand: Stop union busting at YPC

In partnership with IndustriALL Global Union and Confederation of Industrial Labour of Thailand (CILT).

Panicha Kanyana and Anucha Chaipha were suspended from YPC Precision after their union Thailand Autoparts and Metal Workers Union (TAM) organized 400 workers in 2023. YPC also transferred 38 unionists to other departments, refused them overtime and gave them unreasonable key performance indicators. Trade unionists were threatened with temporary contracts and outsourced workers were brought in. The union busting violates the Labour Relations Act of Thailand, as well as international labour standards.

Panicha Kanyana is fighting for her labour rights at court, while Anucha Chaipha, who was reinstated in June 2023 is facing everyday discrimination in the workplace, not allowed overtime and assigned unimportant tasks.

YPC Precision must immediately stop the union busting, reinstate Panicha Kanyana to her original position with back pay, and end all discrimination against Anucha Chaipha.
