On the eve of May Day, on 29 April 2015, Davood Razavi and Ebrahim Madadi of the Syndicate of Workers of Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company were reportedly arrested and incarcerated in Section 209 of Evin prison where political prisoners are detained. Earlier, on 28 April 2015, Mahmoud Salehi and Osman Ismaili, of the Coordinating Committee to Help Form Workers' Organizations were also arrested. The reasons for the arrests are not known. There have also been reports of other incidents against labour activists.
